Steel tubes of various cross-sections, dimensions and configurations are an integral part of our product range. Accordingly, our product range includes a large number of precision steel tubes and hollow sections with (circular) round, square or rectangular cross-sections, which can be classified into seamless or welded steel tubes according to their manufacturing process.
Seamless steel tubes are generally produced by punching solid material (ingots, billets, etc.), followed by stretch-forming of the shell and rolling. Welded steel tubes are usually made of strip steel or steel sheets, in which case the tube bodies (slotted tubes) are first formed by bending and the strip edges are then welded together longitudinally to form a closed steel tube. In order to achieve higher dimensional accuracy, a final cold forming process (for precision steel tubes) is often carried out on both seamless and welded tubes.
Depending on the customer and application area, the steel tubes we supply are used for conveying liquid or gaseous substances – for example as brake or hydraulic lines – or are used as structural elements such as (supporting) roller tubes or static bracing elements.
